What types of woods do you use?
All our products are made from the finest Indian hard-grained Boxwood, Sheeshamwood, Rosewood and Ebonywood.
Are the woods imported or of Indian origin?
All the timber used is of Indian origin.
Can you make chess sets as per our specifications?
Yes. In fact we specialize in customizing sets as per individual specifications.
What is the minimum order size that you accept?
Since the minimum shipment charges are for 1 cubic meter, we suggest at least 100 sets as a minimum, which may be an assortment.
Do you replace broken/cracked pieces?
Yes, we do have a replacement policy in place.
How do you ship?
We ship via air or sea depending on the urgency of the shipment.
What is the approximate cost of shipping?
Sea freight is approx. 4-5% of FOB value while Air Freight is approx. 20-25% of FOB value. Actual values may vary depending on the exact volume of shipment and the destination.
How do you pack each set?
Each set is packed in a polybag and put in a sturdy cardboard box and then finally placed in air/sea-worthy wood/plywood crate. For the lacquered pieces, each piece is wrapped individually in special paper to prevent scratching of the piece and then put in a suitable box, before being finally put into the crate.
How long does it take for you to process an order?
For all items which are in stock, the dispatch is made within a fortnight. For other items, the shipments are made within 30-60 days from the date of placement of the confirmed order.
What is the shipping time?
By boat it takes approximately 45-60 days from the time of dispatch from our factory to North American ports. For European ports, it takes about 30-40 days.
